So...I think I'm going to go on a hiatus from Xangaing for a while. I seem to want to write on here when I'm emotional - and that is the worst time for me to be writing on here for the world to see. So I have a nice little journal by my bed that I'm going to be writing in for a while. I think that will help me get a handle on my thoughts and the decisions that I need to make.

Before I go however, I do want to say this....One Christmas Eve (Festival of  Lights) finished today. I am completely exhausted. I can't remember when I have felt exaustion of the mind, body and spirit like this. But at the same time I am so grateful to have been a part of that program. It is an experience that I will remember for a long time. Having put everything I have into that performance for two weeks straight hasn't left me with much. I'm going to have to slowly find a way to recouperate in the midst of this extremely busy month. I guess that is the best way I can find to describe how I am feeling right now.

Well, blessings to you all...I will return sometime I'm sure. In the meantime, your prayers would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!!

My Mom plays the flute for festival of lights. She generally always takes a few days off from work in order to deal with the exhaustion of the show so I can only imagine how tiring it can be. My mom has done it for years though so she knows when she needs to take off and when not to.

Good luck with the singing and remember all of those well taught lessons that Prof Burghart taught us!

Oh, goodness. I need to stop neglecting Xangas.

Anyway, how was church? Arg. Well, let's just say that there was only one service, so the entire congregation that wasn't out of town was there, and the place was packed. And of course, Mickey Burroughs, whose official title I don't know but seems to be pretty much the second-in-command guy DEFINITELY included a certain event in his announcements.

"I'm seeing some glitter over in the orchestra section!" He said. "Hold it up!"

All eyes on me accompanied by applause for the next ten minutes. (More realistically, it was probably about fifteen seconds. That's a long time.)

Yep. That's how church was.
